Cess :hazmat

Cess, as he's now known, went all nasty after the Plunge along with all life that relied on pure ambient "magic" energy. Now, discolored, he's forced to hunt humans. Thing is, he has to wait for the bodies of the killed to rot alot before he can eat it. That's gotta suck if you're starving and you have to wait a week before you can eat again! He can scavenge, but the energy sucked from them isn't as good if he doesn't kill it himself.

Villages who are stalked by him and others like him sometimes throw out the recently deceased in a desperate pagan sort of way of quelling the beast's hunger.
Both a free radical and a tainted mythic! Clever.
